USE OF MOBILE CLINICS
Standard use: Bonus to minor existing facilities (health centers, dispensaries,...)
The clinic regularly visits the existing facilities and reinforces the services delivered by the local medical personnel. It represents therefore a bonus to these facilities.
The participation of the local personnel to the doctor's examinations guarantees the continuity of the medical care and the thrifty and correct delivery of the drugs.
This local personnel knows the patients: it is the best information source to elaborate or complete data collection.
Typical use:
The clinic is going from village to village not served by a health center/dispensary or reaches a nomadic population.
Replacement use:
The mobile clinic is utilized in replacement of a health center during its rehabilitation.
The local personnel is trained and so prepared for future tasks.
The clinic is moved to an other center to be rehabilitated as soon as the renovation of the last one is finished.
Complementary use
The clinic becomes a supplementary health center in overpopulated areas where the fixed centers are overwhelmed.
The clinics are especially well suited where a rapid intervention to counter an epidemic outbreak is necessary or, more simply, for the delivery of essential care in the slums around the big cities.
Provisory use:
The clinic is utilized as a health center in an area where there is no facility yet exists.
The assistance of the displaced populations (assembled in provisory camps) represents an other classic case.
Specialized utilization:
Simple additional kits make it possible to deliver particular care especially with regard to :
- dental care
- cataract surgical interventions
The clinics may also be equipped of additional or specific equipment according to the customers' wishes :
- pharmacy
- X-ray examination room
- surgery center (with anesthesia)
