CAE '98 - SLOVENIA HOSTS NATO AND PFP (Partnership For Peace)

The 1(BE) Military Support Hospital, manufactured by MODULMED, participated in CAE '98.
It is mobile, of modular design and has four surgical sections.

The commander of the exercise, General Giuseppe Ardito, Commander of the Allied Land Forces Southern Europe said, this was the first exercise ever to involve the deployment of Allied Powers in Europe Mobile Force (AMF) outside the ACE area responsibility. Another "First" was the inclusion of a medical exercise involving the 3 Belgian Field Hospital. General Ardito expressed his gratitude to the host nation Slovenia for "the exceptional level of support" and for the hospitality and friendship the Slovenian people have extended to the AMF and to all personnel throughout their stay in Slovenia.
